Why I do this the way I do

Almost every business owner I meet finds their statement confusing — unsure what their real rate is, what the fees mean, or whether they could be doing better. Payments shouldn't feel like that. My job is to make it clear.

My whole approach is built on transparency. I read the fine print for a living. I'll show you your real effective rate, explain every line on your statement, and if your current deal is actually good, I'll tell you to keep it. That honesty is the entire point — it's how I earn the business and the referrals that come with it.

How I got here

From watching owners get squeezed to doing something about it

I came up in this industry the way most people do — selling rates. And the longer I did it, the more it bothered me how the business actually works. Statements are built to obscure, not inform. Reps get trained to talk fast past the parts that matter. Owners sign up, get busy running their business, and never look closely again. Meanwhile the fees creep.

I didn't want to be one more person doing that to people. So I changed how I operate: every conversation starts with your actual statement, in plain English, whether or not it leads anywhere for me. Some people I meet already have a good deal — I tell them so and send them on their way. That's by design. The owners who do switch are the ones who saw the math for themselves and decided it made sense, not because I talked them into anything.

The growth side came out of the same frustration from a different angle. I kept meeting solid business owners paying too much and running on outdated equipment, with no one showing them how modern tools — better POS, real reporting, loyalty programs — could actually lift their sales. So I made that part of the job too: not just a lower rate, but the setup to help the business grow.
